Learn how to support communities affected by crises with BioLite's Give Energy Fund. A simple donation sends solar lanterns and off-grid lighting aid to those who need it most.
Quick answer
Donate to BioLite's Give Energy Fund to send solar lighting and portable power to communities affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
Why solar lighting matters in disaster relief
When a hurricane, earthquake, or conflict knocks out the power grid, darkness becomes a serious safety and health risk. Families lose the ability to cook, study, or move around after sunset. Portable solar lanterns provide immediate, off-grid lighting aid without relying on fuel or grid repairs. BioLite's Give Energy Fund channels donations directly to a network of 700 on-the-ground partners who distribute these lights to the people who need them most.
How your donation makes a difference
A single donation of $14 (regularly $20) goes toward sending a solar light to a family in crisis. To date, BioLite's impact work has reached over 14 million individuals. By contributing to the Give Energy Fund, you help expand that reach and ensure that disaster-affected communities have safe, reliable energy when they need it most.
Steps to send light for disaster relief
- Visit the Give Energy Fund page: Go to BioLite's Give Energy Fund product page. You'll see a donation option starting at $14 (regularly $20). The donation is a one-time purchase; you are not signing up for a subscription.
- Choose your Give Level: Select the amount you'd like to donate. Each level corresponds to a specific number of solar lights or energy kits sent to communities in need. Check the description of each level to understand exactly how many lights your donation will provide.
- Complete your purchase: Proceed to checkout and fill in your payment details. BioLite will process your donation and allocate it to their network of 700 on-the-ground partners for distribution. Your donation is tax-deductible (consult your tax advisor for details). Save your receipt for records.
